As a Mechanical Designer, you will work closely with Mechanical Engineers to create detail and layout drawings for custom-designed thin-film deposition equipment. Based on engineering input, such as hand-drawn sketches, engineering discussions or verbal instructions, you will use Solid Works and your practical knowledge to build components in a PC and add fabrication details such as material specifications and tolerances. Your products are detail and layout drawings that General Plasma’s machine shop or vendors can work from to build actual hardware. You will work on projects from inception through installation at the customers site, and in the process develop an in-depth understanding of vacuum coating technology and the art of building the best thin-film deposition tools in the world.
We are a customer centric company that recognizes and rewards ability and initiative. We look for individuals who derive satisfaction from designing and building state-of-the-art equipment and being a part of a highly motivated team.
